EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CONTRACTING (ESC) APPLICATION FOR S.Y. 2022-2023

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR INCOMING GRADE 7 STUDENTS (Old and New Students):

• Accomplished ESC Application Form

• Accomplished ESC Grantee Enrollment Contract 

• PSA Certified Birth Certificate

• Photocopy of Grade 6 report card

• Recent identical 2x2 ID photo (2 copies)

• Latest Income Tax Return (if parents are employed)

• Certificate of Tax Exemption or Municipal Certification of Unemployment of Parents/Legal Guardian (if unemployed)

 

REMINDERS:

• Submission of application and complete requirements will be upon enrollment. Start of classes for SY 2022-2023 will be the deadline of submission.

• You may submit the hard copies of the requirements to the MMSQC Administration Office or via email at registrar.dept@mmsqc.ph.

• FOR GRADES 8 TO 11 TRANSFEREES WHO ARE ESC GRANTEES, submit the soft or scanned copy of your ESC certificate upon application for enrollment.

WHAT IS ESC? 

 

ESC or Educational Service Contracting is a partnership program by the Department of Education and PEAC aimed at decongesting overcrowded public junior high schools. 

 

In this program, financial assistance (in the form of tuition subsidies) is extended to qualified elementary school graduates who wish to pursue Junior High School (JHS) – Grades 7 to 10 – in private schools.

 

WHAT IS PEAC?

 

The Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) has been contracted by the DepEd to administer the ESC program. It is the trustee of the Fund for Assistance to Private Education (FAPE), a fund created to provide assistance to private education in the country.

TERMS OF THE GRANT

 

The grant starts at Grade 7 and remains in force for the next school years (until Grade 10) if the grantee is promoted to the next grade level and is enrolled in an ESC participating school.

 

AMOUNT OF THE ESC GRANT

 

Grade 7 grantees from PEAC Certified Private Junior High Schools shall be allotted a substantial amount based on the current guidelines of the program. Deduction of the grant will be on the last paying period of the school year.

 

TERMINATION OF THE ESC GRANT

 

The grant is terminated if the grantee:

• Drops out in the middle of the school year

• Does not reenroll the following school year

• Fails to be promoted to the next grade level

• Transfers to a non-ESC-participating JHS

• Is suspended for more than two (2) weeks, dismissed or expelled by the ESC-participating JHS for disciplinary reasons
